Installed a trunk hinge from Eddie Motorsports on my 70 Camaro this weekend. Based on a recommendation from another NastyZ28 member! Here are some pictures for reference in case anyone tries it in the future.

Cool! Did you seal the bolts to prevent water intrusion? Does this come in black too?

Really good idea. How well does it function?

I installed one on my 80. The only thing I don't like about it is the trunk does not spring up (or even open) when you unlock the trunk. I removed the original torsion bars.

I didn't seal the bolts but that is a good idea. I am going to go back and add some silicone. I checked the Eddie Motorsports website and yes you can order it in black.

Works like a charm. Efforts to close are a little high but even during closing. When you open the trunk it pops open quickly and smoothly. None of the parts interfere with anything.
