If I was converting , the one place I wouldn't screw around with is the fuel delivery system, what EFI system are you going with? and what do they suggest that you purchase? There are a few conversion kits on the market , however, I would go with a new tank and pump system, so I didn't have to wonder why it was not doing what I wanted , just my .02

I recently installed the Edelbrock ProFlo 4 system. I used the Holley 12-304 pump, it's a simple drop in solution and has a built in regulator and return.

I've had bad luck with spectra electric pumps, and others have too.

I was looking at the Holley and actually learning towards using it. Seems like a good setup with minimal fuss. How's it working for you?

I bought the E-street system that was for sale in the swap meet section.

Only been in a couple months but is working good for me. It's supposed to be preset at 58lb psi but display reads around 62lb, this hasn't caused any issues. You might want to read through Edelbrock's forum for that efi setup, someone may have experience.

That system you bought was too good of a price to turn down, I am interested in EFI, I just like the style that Corkey has, as it seems to be a more efficient system, and it's funny you bought the system that uses TBI , that edelbrock now bashes , I think both have there plus's over a carb, and that is why I am really wanting to understand the plus and minus, please post, your journey , from carb, to EFI, the fuel pump the new high pressure lines, the return system , those are the parts , that keep me on the fence, HAA HA , as I don't trust anyone to do it around here, and I am worried about doing it myself,
    Thanks

I've always wanted to do efi... my dad used to run the dyno for the local MBZ dealer and also specialized in performance problems with the earlier efi benzs. When I had my first '73 it was dyno tuned every month using the a/f meter on the dyno. When I bought my current '73 I immediately wanted to go with efi. Before that one popped up I was already planning on installing an a/f ratio meter at nearly $200. So... for not a whole lot more I bought the efi system.

I will definitely share my experiences as I get it up and running.
