    Partial Vin: C84152887

    C=Chevrolet
    8=1978
    4=final vehicle assembly plant

    I can not find a final assembly plant for Truck in Canada that is a "4".
    There is a 1 and a 5.
    They used numbers for Canada, and letters for USA.

    I've got two numbers stamped on the front passenger pad of a block I'm looking to buy. Can someone tell me what the second one means? Any help would be appreciated.

    The TYZ number identifies the type of vehicle it was installed in. The smaller number is the partial VIN that matches it to an individual vehicle.

    The "TYZ" suffix decodes to a 1975 350 V8 Truck engine.
