Yeah, but I want to see it cut grass at 100mph
i can cut at 8.2 mph......(gps'd it...) after I made some new pulleys, adjusted the gov for exactly 3300 rpm while mowing, uped blade tip speed to 20,000-21000 fpm....
NEXT up.....a suspension...can barely stay on the dam thing running that fast AND it shakes up my BEER!!
I will ask the guy who cuts my lawn how fast he cuts, and get back to you.
Maybe I need to take some lessons from you..., I got a new Gravely 60" says it supposed to go up to 7.5 mph, I'm sure it goes faster than I think, but when I am on it, it feel like I could walk faster than this. - I never thought of a gps test. Guess I should download one and see what I'm really getting.
I need one of those, I can cut my grass in like 2 minutes.
My ferris with a half ass suspension mowes at 10 mph and is about all you can stand and my dad has one of the higher end models with 4 wheel independent suspension and I think it mowes at 12.5 or around there. It gets your attention still when the ground is rough at all.
mine is an circa 2001 Craftsman 42" ..... but now i/we mow about 3.5 acres
Wonder what the blades were doing at 100mph?
My zero turn 42" cub cadet runs about 7mph. In turns, it'll destroy the yard quick if it's wet. 1/2 acre.
wish I had seen this sooner, I would have clocked myself mowing last night!
