    the "cant use timing feature with HEI" ..... thinking this is MOOT!

    Should be able to simply eliminate the module. Use the mag pickup (2 wires) and send it to the ECU. Pin the advance plate (#8 nut-bolt IIRC) then hook up the coil just as you would any EXTERNAL coil.

    In fact this is straight out of MSD instructions... IIRC. When adding a 6al box to hei. You can either keep the module or bypasss it.

    You are correct with the MSD box, and I would assume the same for this FI.

    I am leaning towards this system for my daughters 78 TA that we are doing an LS swap in. Another benefit, for her car anyway, is it will simplify retaining the shaker.

    That looks good! The pictures I've seen of that new Holley Sniper they're coming out with appears to much cheaper made in construction.
