One reason I did the change was for ease. The wife really wants to drive the car as well. Just get in start and go, I am an old school guy as well. But having rich fuel, Smell having to wait for it to start, I AM Getting LAZY and when it started on the second turn. I WAS SOLD ON THAT not tuned yet. Everyone has a reason, but for me, having better mileage (BBC maybe from 9mi to 15 miles would be great?) and a few other things. I am Just Cheap why spent 2K on TBI Tech. I can see 900 for this.
    Just my 2cents

I hope I helped you Guys on this. I really do like Fitech and the setup. I do have another camaro with a Procharger...:) I need to save up for that

While the height does not seem to be an issue I would like to know how a drop base air cleaner sits on there. The fuel inlets look like they may interfere.

I know the Pontiac guys are using a "retro-fit" shaker hood scoop drop base with a 90 degree fitting on the inlet.

I too am running AirGaps on a couple Camaro projects.
    One is a 468 BBC in a 69 with a cowl hood.
The other is a 383 SBC in a 72 with a flat hood.

Minus the fuel system - At this price point I could do both of these cars for the cost of one competitive EFI system.

Just a thought for now and thanks for the invaluable real world feedback.
