Newer stuff from Fi Tech Some new product 'screen shots' I pulled from You Tube. Their newer products for some reason are not yet listed on their FiTech website. 4 injector 400 hp TBI without timing control at $795. 8 injector 800 hp TBI without timing control at $1095 There are also two new MPFI units starting at $1795:
Looks interesting. I just sent to a buddy who's having issues with his holley 600. The "Budget friendly" $795 looks like a good deal.
Important info: The fuel hose supplied in the earlier TBI kits may rupture causing an under hood fire. Please see the install on a '72 Buick GS: 72 Buick GS FI Tech "Go EFI 4" Self Tuning Throttle Body Injection Install Thread Install pic: . The user ALMOST had an under hood fire. Luckily no one was hurt or injured. Ruptured hose: . The FIX: FiTech now equips the kits with Russell brand high pressure fuel line. Please check to see if your fuel line has Russell stamped on it. If it does not then get in touch with FiTech to get a free replacement. Another issue: Fuel Command Centre vent check ball: Some earlier fuel command centre units have an issue with the vent check ball getting stuck. This is discussed in the same link (above and again here for your scrolling convenience ) >>> 72 Buick GS FI Tech "Go EFI 4" Self Tuning Throttle Body Injection Install Thread Newer fuel command centres apparently no longer have this problem. Growing pains for the company I suppose
3X3 and 10X12 fuel/spark tables Spoke with Fi Tech over the phone earlier today and I gotta update some important information. Fi Tech offers 3X3 fuel/spark tables and 10X12 fuel/spark tables depending on the model you have. Fi Tech 600 hp (#30001/30002) offers only 3X3 fuel/spark table control. This is done through the handheld unit. There is no option to hook up to a personal computer (PC). Fi Tech power adder versions 600 hp (#30004) and 1200 hp (#30012) offer up to 10X12 fuel/spark table when programmed through a PC....but when you access the TBI onboard computer through the handheld unit you can only change 9 points (3X3) even though the unit is capable of 10X12. .
Very interesting! I love what FiTech is doing, I have read on another forum that they use standard GM sensors and injectors with a standard Bosh O2 sensor.
Great thread. Haven't even fired my motor yet (with a brand new 830 cfm Holley annular discharge) and already looking to upgrade! LOL! The FItech looks pretty good to me. Looks like 72406 posted some video of his install (based on the pics).https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-TLv0lRBi00
