I got a 78 a few month ago and started working on it.

    Black 78
    350 SB
    4 Bbll Edelbrock
    Headers
    Automatic
It had yellow racing stripes and transformer logos everywhere
too bad the stripes and logos were painted and clear coated so I covered them
with silver and red pinstriping graphics
It is a good 20 footer because who ever painted it did not prep the urethane nose and back bumper properly and has a few bubbles, it has nice staggered cragar style wheels. recently upholstered and carpet so it nice inside except for the dash which is not in great shape.

What I have done to it:
New graphics to cover the yellow
fixed steering box, it was leaking and broken
    Fixed steering pump
fixed exhaust it was half way done
fixed power windows as they did not work
Fixed door locks and window scrapers.
painted all chrome trim flat black
fixed headlights and turn signals and the bezels
fixed brakes, they had what appear to be mud in the reservoir and clogged lines
installed 3 wheel bolts as they were missing
made front fender grill extractors and install them for a z28 look (made the buck with a cnc machine and reproduced them in fiberglass (non-functional, just for looks)
fixed and aligned doors but still not perfect (gaps are not consistent)

    Plans:
Make custom dashboard with new instruments/gauges (corvette style)
    Make custom center console
Complete new wiring with only minimal necessary stuff
Finish AC delete as it is partial and the compressor is missing (either that or actually install a compressor and fix the ac.
Make custom tail lights to replace crappy ones that are faded and cracked.

I would love to reproduce the entire front clip in carbon or fiberglass and flip open it from the front for the weight savings, make custom light front end reinforcement and hinges for the front end, but that is more for the future.

I want to get it as light weight as possible in the near future so will be getting rid of a bunch of heavy stuff, and then perhaps a turbo kit to wake it up, one of my other cars is a porsche and it makes this car feel like a heavy snail, will post pics as I learn how to.

By the way can you upload pics from your computer or need to host them somewhere and then link to it?

    Greetings people.

    Steve
