    That may be true on the left coast of FL. But I've personally driven on the beach on the right coast in multiple locations (in my rental car). There were no signs saying you couldn't do it off the Florida Coast Highway.

    No such thing as "the Florida Coast Highway", you are probably thinking about A1A

    Yes, A1A, also known as the "A1A Scenic & Historic Coastal Byway". Sorry I didn't get the name 100% right.

    Bottom line, I drove on a number of the beaches and there were no signs saying not to, all were easily accessed and I wasn't the only one doing it.

    Pacific Coast Highway, Atlantic Coast Highway....potato, potato. PCH is MUCH more attractive.
