just installed a ricks restomod tank in place of my factory 1970 tank.
Spoke with ricks and was informed that the factory straps would work with their tank. The factory straps are about 4” to short.
Has anyone ran into this problem?
    Thanks !

I didn't use the Rick's, mines a Tanks brand, stock straps were too short, I used the ones that came with the Tanks setup..

That’s what I expected but before purchase I spoke with them and they said stock straps would fit. Looking on their website they don’t even sell straps!

Why would you want to use the stock straps? With a SS tank, use the SS straps

They don’t list straps because there’s no reason to. The tanks come with straps abs if you have an issue, you can just call them for replacements.

If it came with straps , I would think he would have mentioned, and I hate Rick's I think they have the highest prices, and BA is correct, it says the EFI conversion tank comes with straps

I have bought about 4 Ricks tanks over the years. My appeal to them is the use of the 5th gen modules and corner pick-ups. My last tank was made the way I felt I needed it to clear my exhaust. They are expensive though.

Are you sure the straps are short? Reason I ask is if you take brand new factory style straps and try to use them for the first time you would swear they were too short, but after they assume the correct shape of the tank they fit fine.

The restomod tank from ricks is not stainless steel.
It did not come with tank straps, I called Ricks before I purchased and asked about the straps and they said the tank did not come with straps because the stock straps would fit.

I agree 100%, when i put the straps on the original tank i had to fight them to make them fit.
This time the straps aren't even close.
