Noticed Gus had a bump under his left front leg, took him to the vet and they said he has bone cancer, and that it had dissolved 2 of his ribs already. I dunno how much longer i have with him, he started to limp on that leg and is progressing toward not getting up, so i think that time has come. Its funny how he's just a dog, but we look at them like actual human family members. Never thought he would go before my 15 yr old German Shepard. I love ya so much Gus, i'm really gonna miss you dude.

Sorry to hear about that! Pets have such an amazing effect on us, being part of the family that it really hurts when they get ill like that.

That hurts to hear, I had a husky live to be 15 and 10 months and another 14 and 6 months, the first dog my wife and I got (Rottweiler) before we had kids died during a knee surgery at 4. It is amazing how much a dog can bring a family joy.

That's a damn good looking dog, I cried when I had to put my cat Zeporah down. First cat I owned, sure loved her. You gave each other some good years together, that's all that matters in the end. My heart goes out to ya both.:(
