I had my car insured with Grundy back in 2014 or so, and the process to get set up as a customer with the car insured was pretty painless... but the lady I am working with now is being ... difficult.

Just wondering if anyone has worked with them lately... and how the experience went? Maybe their corporate environment changed, or maybe I am just dealing with a bad agent.

I added my 2015 Z to my policy last year, and it was painless. They had to run it past their adjusters, but got back to me in a few days. Insured it for 50k, just had to send them pictures.

No problem for me to increase the agreed to value of my 81. Just sent a couple pics and they approved it within 24 hrs.

I deal with Safeco and like them. Very easy to deal with and not to many restrictions.

I am working with Heacock now. The agent I got through Grundy was giving me a lot of grief, especially considering I had the car insured through Grundy before. I actually thinkHheacock will work out better since they have less restrictions to allow me to drive it for cruises, pleasure drives, etc.

I can't imagine how anyone has less restrictions on an agreed value policy than Grundy. It is literally, keep it in a garage and don't daily drive it. No mileage or use restrictions outside of that

I think I had a bad agent... and may call back tmrw and ask to speak with someone else. She definitely told me I would have mileage restrictions.

I've been talking with someone at Heacock and the experience has been overwhelmingly positive. I'll see where that goes, but will give Grundy one more shot.

Are these full coverage type policies or just coverage for the car's damage/loss? I pay about $350 a year for higher level liability and medical pay on my 70, no coverage on the car itself.
