How do I decode the stamp on my quarter panels

    the code is H39 on the quarter panels on my 72 camaro.
    I also have an nos pair with the stamping H40
    Thx for the help

    H is I'm pretty sure for the Hamilton stamping plant (Hamilton, Ohio).

    the 2 digit number is the week. Does that sound correct for your car?

    My car was built in Oct. 1971 Norwood. I thought 39 might be the week. Thx

    My 70 is a 03B and the right quarter is “H8” and the left is “H9”

    39 is the Week the panels were stamped....
    IF YOU HAVE NOS panels with DATES they were produced during the same time the VEHICLE was being manufactured. WHICH MEANS they would probably be CLOSEST to the original panels in stamping definition and detail.
