How to dye a steering wheel

    I'd like to re-color my steering wheel, 1979 Trans Am. I'd like it black. walk me thru the process please. never attempted to dye anything---yet.

    I think I would just buy a black one. I think the dye would wear off. Nice seats.

    I agree, it will be easy to find a black one, and someone may want the colored one you have , as black should be more common, that said, the color seems to tie the interior together , so keep the colored one after you get the black one, just incase you don't like the contrast.

    Just checked ebay, yeah they are available. I thought they were a tough find but there are plenty on ebay. thanks. The horn button I may dye though.

    May check Ames performance. I made a couple of purchases from them when I had a Formula.

    Replace the seats with blue one and give me those seats. Ha

    Those seats are very comfortable and I love the looks. You sit "in" them if you know what I mean.
