Whats the widest tire you can put on a 15x7 Z28 rim with a stock 1972suspension. Thank you for your thoughts.

Are you going for looks or performance? A 255/60/15 on a 15x7 is really pushing it. I have run BFG 255/60/15s on 15x7s and the tires do not wear evenly and the sidewall flex was pretty excessive. A 15x7 is not really a good wheel size to be trying to fit wide tires on, it's just not a wide wheel to start off with.

Going for looks. I like a wide looking tire in the rear. Can't run with the big dogs now, on a budget. Would like to get 17's one day, but that will be a while. What about the front as well?

255/60/15 is what I would (begrudgingly) recommend then. That is the absolute max I would put on a 15x7 if someone had me mount it

Hey once you put the 255's on the back!! You'll be wanting to go to an 8" rim and 275's or bigger!

I ran 265/50s on the stock rally wheels. On all 4 corners. Worked pretty well but there was a lot of sidewall.
