    Hello All.
The 78 Camaro I purchased came out of the factory with a 305. At some stage it has been changed to a 350. The ID stamped on the front of the engine near the water pump is either VM8031JW or V118031JW. I have searched and cannot make any sense of the number.

    Cheers

Maybe a corporate small block from an BOP car? Only J* suffix I see is for a 64 Chevelle with 327 and those don't go to the W second digit, maybe a police package? TW might be a truck engine? Odd one there.
