I wanted the upgrade the hard drive in my wife's laptop. I'm using Macrium Reflect and a Sabrent USB-DSC5. I get this error as explained on Macrium's page.

It looks like I need a different USB interface but which one? I don't mind getting one but I'd hate to have the same issue. Any help is appreciated since I've already bought the damn SSD drive.

Or can I pull the hard drive from the laptop, put it and the SSD in my PC and clone it that way?

Make sure you backup these drives regularly. Matter of fact, you should back all drives up. I use acronis with an easystore drive.

We use acronis as well. My cad box has a SSD boot drive & a 2nd for storing stuff.
