I have been practicing on some old Buick mirrors trying to figure out how to get the glass off. So far nothing is working, the mirrors on the Nova are very hard to find and I do not want to break them.

Not sure where you guys are runnning into problems. I have done 4 sets without a problem so far. I must have magical fingers or something...just been lucky I suppose.

I will be drilling a set with the glass still installed to see what happens.

How hot is the glass before the mirror can break the glue bond? Are gloves required to handle it? Maybe more heat is needed than I'm applying.

I have always heated them on 200 degrees with heat gun using even heat. If you heat them too fast the glass will crack. If you dont heat it for long enough and pry too hard...the glass will crack.

Heres a trick that my be helpful. Im not prying the glass off the plastic Im removing the plastic from the glass. I hope that makes sense and helps.

My sensitivity to heat is probably different than most people. It is hot to the touch for me and I treat it like a hot potato so yes gloves are probably recommended.

I will be remaking the Passenger side indication mirror. There is a serious misalignment with later style bullet mirrors.

To those of you who have already received orders I will be contacting you individually when the components are ready to send you a revised component.

Driver side is fine but the passenger side is causing people some problems. I have decided to just redesign this piece and send out the appropriate pieces to you all.

Do you have a time frame for this to happen? I will not get back on mine until after the 1st of the year.
