Depends on the look you desire, I like both, however, the chrome helps in the front, if you still have the windshield trim chrome , you can buy the piece as one piece from a couple of vendors in fiberglass and try your ideas on it , perhaps?

Which piece are you referring to that you can buy in fibeglass? I like the blacked out look for the grills. Not a big fan of the silver paint on the front surface. I've seen the bezel painted black on other 70's and also chromed. I think it looks good both ways.

You can get the outside rubber/urathane piece and the chrome piece as one piece , from a couple of vendors, then just have to install the grill parts

Lined the interior with Hushmat from the firewall to the package tray. Bought the bulk kit and it wasn't enough to do the doors and package tray. Installed the carpet and sill plates. Got the new bumper on too. It's coming together. 20190918_135534.jpg

Great work on it! On the grill surround, painting it black or body color will look nice I think. I have a fiberglass one for my other 71 from Custom Works and those don't even use the surround. It has a different look but I like it.

That interior looks great. Comfortable and not over complicated.
What is under the shifter boot, over the carpet?

They don't have a lot of info on their website. How much was the custom RS front body panel? I'd prefer something like that long term myself. The factory RS front ends don't align great imo. Too many breaks in the body between the hood, valance and nose piece imo

The interior is just barely in there. The shift boot is just hanging there on the shifter at the moment. I'm not in love with the carpet fit at the tunnel and need to adjust it some. The battery cables are run under the carpet at the sides of the tunnel through the back seat. There's a bit of play in the driver footwell as a result. I've looked the center consoles and I'm not in love with them. Any suggestions?
