    Depends on the look you desire, I like both, however, the chrome helps in the front, if you still have the windshield trim chrome , you can buy the piece as one piece from a couple of vendors in fiberglass and try your ideas on it , perhaps?

    Which piece are you referring to that you can buy in fibeglass? I like the blacked out look for the grills. Not a big fan of the silver paint on the front surface. I've seen the bezel painted black on other 70's and also chromed. I think it looks good both ways.

    You can get the outside rubber/urathane piece and the chrome piece as one piece , from a couple of vendors, then just have to install the grill parts

Lined the interior with Hushmat from the firewall to the package tray. Bought the bulk kit and it wasn't enough to do the doors and package tray. Installed the carpet and sill plates.
