Almost finished on the bullet mirror swap.Just missing that d shaped retainer ring for the bezel.
Looks great, love blue !!
Awesome! I love the blue as well!
Here's a shot of my fixed throttle on the sniper install. It's the Demon extension and the jegs extended throttle stud.Drives alot nicer now.
PLEASE IGNORE THE AIR CLEANER!!! lol.It was just to test the car,all my bases were 1.5 drop, didnt work.
Had a shifter rod clip let loose on me last weekend. All hurst stuff.
Had to scream home in second. I wound up ordering the improved hardened tool steel washers(replacing the stock plastics),and some .032 stainless safety wire to wire them up.
That's the one I use, some complain that the steel bushings make more noise/rattles at least they don't fall apart, cheap $20 dollar investment, in my opinion , hopefully , you will have not further issues !!
I have zero noise issues with the new bushings, and she feels tighter.
I also pulled the intake studs and resealed with ARP.I had used black rtv,and was still getting oil on the plug threads. So,next check,if the plugs are still getting oil on the threads,Im going to get a set of aluminums for it and shelve those irons.Theyve been dirty since day one, lol.
Well,my redtop finally pooped the bed!It was made in may of 2011.
Since then, everytime,my camaro started up and drove.Had a nonstart issue sunday when I went to take it out. Some clicking and a bunch of clear goo oozing up from the negative post.
Also had some corrosion on both negative terminals, which I understand is a poor charging issue, which never reared its face on my stock guage,or my sniper pad.And battery was always on a tender.I think it was age, plus extreme heat here that finally did it in.
So,I got a great deal on another redtop from advanced auto, and I sprung for a new powermaster alternator,150 output, just to be on the safe side.
I hope I get as much out of the new battery as I did the old.
I hope you have good luck with the new red top. After they got back a few years ago their quality went to crap. I've had several diesel truck guys have to warranty them several times. One 7.3 truck had to have his warrantied 3 times before his warranty was up. Granted his truck sets a lot but the old red tops lasted 6 years or longer in it.
Well,366 bucks and it starts again, lol.
