Since the interior is just about done, I have a burnt 561 dome light bulb that still works but I can see it's discolored as in it must have got hot. Are the LED's cooler temp wise? Brightness better? worse? Are the floor lights worth replacing as well? thanks

    LEDs are Much cooler.

Try taking a dome light bulb loose from the socket when it’s lit up... The smoke from your fingertips will give you a clue just how hot they get!

    Yup... I did that. ONCE!

There are too many choices for interior LED lighting to even try to suggest the “best” ones.

Browse eBay for compatible bulbs and go with what you like for color, design and cost.

I found 36 SMD LED panel which fits inside the dome light lens. ($5 on eBay)

It’s bright enough that you don’t need lights under the dash.

I think I used the 36 LED one, it is awesome, you can actually see stuff! Cheap too, think I bought mine off E-Bay also. Probably the cheapest thing I bought that made that big of a difference. Mine is bright white light, works great with black interior. No need for sunglasses when you turn it on....

Mine LED's work great in both the dome light and rear console light (bought at Amazon). as an added benefit LED's draw fewer amps than incandescent lights.

The interior is now charcoal carpet with black seats, so maybe the 36 style one. For the price, I'll probably order the 20 and the 36. Thanks. Finished phase one of the interior yesterday, floor repair- sound deadening- speaker shelf-speakers-stereo- headliner- carpet- console- seats--kick panels- painted dash and steering column--$$$$$. it looks great, pictures to follow in the right forum section. Today I'm chasing a vibration from behind the stereo, Its more than likely a loose radio support as I had trouble getting it tight.
