Does anyone know of a drivers side lower control arm for a 1970 - 73 Camaro that is for sale or where to go to get one. My research says that a 1970 - 73 Camaro uses a different lower control arm than a 1974 - 81 Camaro. The front and rear bushings are smaller on a 70 - 73 and the bolts are smaller. Bolt size hole is .550 on a 70 -73 and .590 on later models. Currently on my 1970 I have a lower control arm on the drivers side that is from a later model.
After careful measuring this incorrect control arm has the drivers wheel set back 1/2" compared to the passenger side. Doesn't make sense to me that GM would change the positioning of the front wheels for later models and set them back closer to the rear wheels.
I would sure appreciate if anyone could shed some light on this problem.
