Any projected dates on driving yet ??
Lookin good JJ.... can't wait to hear it run
Sweetness.....so easy, a mountain man can do it
I'd love to be doing this swap right now myself....
Nice work JJ.
I guess the AC compressor was hitting the frame and had to be relocated? I was hoping with the Edelbrock mounts that it might clear.
Everything I had read indicated that it would not fit without notching the frame + the 2004 GTO compressor isn't compatable with a 2nd gen system.
Ace, I still need to work on the harness this week. If I can get it all done, I may start it on a stand next weekend just to check everything. April is looking like the swap time.
Wonder if you could re-use the 2nd gen evaporator with the late model compressor and condensor? Have to get some lines made up, but would seem to be in the works anyway.
Note that I turned the fuel rail around so the inlet is on the passenger side. I know someone was talking about that a while back but I just changed mine.
All accessories that we have used have been the F-body LS or C5 Vette accessories. The GTO alternator is pretty much well useless because of it's size.
I'm gonna try setting it in with the GTO piece. Worse could happen is that I have to change it.
I put the harness on it and hung the headers to see how they fit.
