I know what your saying but your not factoring in the LSx engine will be used not rebuilt Zero miles like the SBC is you compare to. Also the the camaro came with the SBC so the acc., headers, and other misc stuff will already be in hand and not starting fresh. I will do another look around...I prefer a manual tranny so the search will be a little tougher. I dont want to chop my trans tunnel again for the T56...I would like the shifter to poke through the stock hole...TKO maybe....

I have NEW LS engines for prices from $2500-up.

Build a SBC from ALL new parts for $2500 with aluminum heads and a roller cam....
Try to do it with even a used block...

Accesories are usually included on the wrecking yard LS engines.

The idea here is that resourceful guys that have the necessary skills can improve their car using modern technology.

If you aren't resourceful and/or don't have the skills, then it's probably not for you.

T56 didn't require any significant tunnel mods when I installed one in my '72 Camaro. Cut the hole for the shifter.

What type of engine do you sell for $2500? I put a T56 in my last Z28 but I had to cut into the floor brace for the shifter. I wasnt too satisfied with that. Since my new Z is a 4 speed I will have to patch a gaping hole. Really dont want to do that. Especially because one day someone or I want to convert it back to stock.

My LQ4 Long block cost me $1,000 worth of traded parts. Someone offering a LQ4 for $2500 better have a 100% new motor.

    I sell the the LQ4s for $2500.
That's a steal for a completely new engine.

I'm located in North Texas, 5 minutes off I-35. One hour north of Dallas or Ft. Worth.

    No T-56, but I did the swap with a 4L60e and a GTO LS1.
I did the parts list in the Hightech Retrofits sticky.
