    Are your techs that smart? Im 18 and ive outsmarted several gm techs. Didnt some of the 5.3, 6.0 and 6.2s come in aluminum blocks? I thought only some were iron??? maybe im just crazy (most likely) I havent reserached the 5.3 and so motors too well so dont quote me.

    There are some aluminum 5.3 truck motors but not 6.0.

    Regarding the 3rd gen sender in the 2nd gen tank, will the late 3rd gen sender fit in ALL year 2nd gen tanks, or specific ones? The guide referenced above does not specify. Found a nice used sender from a 3rd gen that I think I want to grab but if it wont fit in my early style tank I dont want to waste the cash

    Look up sender part #s and see if it changed. Maybe on rockauto or something. That should answer your question.

    No it won't fit all tanks. IIRC it fits the 70-73. After that the hole is too small.
