It’s not as bad as I thought it might be...
Full Ford reveal here-
GT model around 60k, 3.5sec 0-60.
couldn't they name it maverick instead... idiots
Look, it's the new Ford Tesla crossover GT Mustang hatchback.
What part of that is Mustang? The tail lights?
Another elongated beetle shaped electric car.
That'll get about much grip as an orange peel on a tile floor with this bunch. I like the idea but the presentation and platform is just plain wrong.
I guess whoring the name mustang worked better with focus groups lol
It's a great idea and 300 miles on a charge is a good thing but I am as unhappy about the name as I would be if they put out something called Camaro that looked like that. Although rivals, Camaro and Mustang are icons and should be left alone.
Yeah I don’t get it either. Mach-E on its own would be fine. Unless they are intending to use “Mustang” branding for everything that’s not a truck going forward.
LOL whatever, I just want my investment back.
Not bad, I still want a conventional grill on the front end though, that just makes more of a styling cue to me, should be functional as there is nothing to cool but it would look better with a faux grill. Interior looks nice, just have a hard time getting past the "big phone" stuck in the middle of the dash, maybe it is me, but that just looks weird to me. Overall body is nice, don't understand the indentation in the tail lights, but nice styling cue form the mustang. Some day I'm gonna test drive an electric just for the fun of it, and it will be the performance model, the torque of an electric motor must be fun to experience. Nice to see manufacturers going electric, I mean I love my Camaro, but we gotta leave this world a better place for our kids and the emissions from gasoline/diesel powered cars is something we need to cut back on. America should be leading the research and design like we usually did on new technology, glad to see Ford jumping in there.
Well this could spark a conversation for sure. There has to be a lot more than electric cars. I am no expert but usually a fairly logical thinker. Most of our power comes from coal fired plants today. That means every charge of the batteries using power causes pollution. Even worse is the mining techniques used for the batteries. I have seen pictures from sites and they are very ugly. Destroy the landscape big time. I think hydrogen fuel is a better source, or if we are going to use batteries, charge them with wind, solar, water or some other source of energy. Just my two cents but I am sure there are better people than I that can chime in on this one.
Oh, one more thing. In 2006 I was at the Heritage museum and GM had what they called the roller skate. It was going to be powered by hydrogen fuel and you could put different bodies on it. Not sure what happened but I know without a distribution system like gas stations that was safe, it would never get off the ground so to speak.
