Manual Trans Crossmember

    Was the manual trans crossmember painted black or did the factory leave it bare metal? I don't think being a Z28 would make a difference but I don't know for sure.

    Mine was black. But was it painted over the years who knows

    I'll go with black too, seems illogical to not paint something that big .

    I know a 1979 was bare metal along with the drive line.
