I identify so much with this. We parent like the one on the right, and sometimes I wonder if CPS is going to get called on us one of these days. Seems like every other parent is the one on the left. Crazy. Kids are going to grow up to be pansies.

    Kale? Uggghhhhh...

WE are mostly right side.....WE...i say WE as it takes 2 to parent (another statistic drastically changing).
The only 1 up there that is UNFORTUNATE nowadays would be the "be back before DARK"....don't know too many reasonable folks that would let that fly now. TOOOOOO many folks out there that we are not allowed to shoot...but should be!

Yes the good old days. Driving with Dad. We act up. Dad's hand comes flying back to smack what ever he can. Then he says, Don't make me pull over! Lol ..... Or I'll pull pants down right here in public and spank your butt!

    ^^^ I was too....

Like grandmas today and grandmas back then...people are taking better care of themselves and giving a crap about their appearance. That’s a good thing!

Absolutely true. my mom made one thing for dinner. Didnt like it? Didnt eat. This is probably why i am not a picky eater. The list of things i wont eat is very small. I have seen my buddies wife cook 3 things for dinner, because this one wont eat that, that one wont eat this,....to me it was like eating at a buffet when i was there.
My mom also coined the phrase "stop crying, or i will really give you something to cry about.
For what ever reason, my brother and i liked to play on the roof. Not real sure why, other than it was big, high up, and easy to access by climbing up this decorative column on the porch. My parents knew we were on the roof alot, and as bad as it sounds, it was kind of like we were just playing in the yard. Cop stopped by once....asked us our name, which we provided, and said, ok, just wanted to check to make sure you werent on someone elses roof. Cop didnt tell us to get down, just wanted to make sure we were playing on our own roof.......my god times were different back then.
