Anyone have the Moog part number of the tall upper ball joint for our cars? TIA.
Don't have the Moog number, but...
Just for comparison, I use the AFCO Racing Low-Friction Ball Tall Joints 20032-2LF.
they have held up very well so far under demanding track use.
I don't think moog makes one. Pro forged does. And howe as well
Moog does not make them, we have them in stock.
We have 101-10020 Proforged in stock.
FWIW, I got mine from this guy ^^ Pro-touring Fbody.com, the Afco low friction ones, +.500, been beating the crap out of the car since 2014, 20K+ miles, no issues in that dept.
Not to hijack the thread with this question but, what's the benefit of the tall ball joint, specifically for a street car that really won't see any track use..
This has been covered quite well on this site, but the TUBJ mainly gives negative camber gain under bump, everything being equal, entering a corner, you don't run the outside of the tire as much as it does not tip out on the top, and the car does not under-steers/pushes to the outside as much. Combined this mod with more +caster, and it really improves the ride and road feel and feedback, a worthwhile mod regardless if your tracking it or not.
