That is really good to hear about your Dad. Front sheet metal alignment. That is why I haven't taken my fenders off yet to put in the fender vents, lol.

    Hey everyone,
So alot has happened since I last posted any kind of progress on the car. Unfortunately not a ton with the car itself but some other areas of my life have made big changes. SO, I figured I would share some things with my Nasty family. So I got engaged back in April, fast forward to July 27th we were handed the keys to our new house. So that was pretty awesome, of coarse it has a nice garage for the Z and any other shenanigans I can come up with. lol Here is a picture from the day we looked at the house. Its 32x50 attached garage. Has a heater, 4 over head doors, water drain in the floor and a bathroom. HUGE upgrade from my old set up for sure.

As for an update on my dad, the last update is the cancer shrunk to 1/3 the original size with chemo and then after about 4 months of treatment on another medicine his tumors are now half that 1/3rd size. He is now off oxygen and can do most of the stuff he used to do. In fact today he even got his first buck in the last 3 years. Last year he missed deer season all together and it really upset him. Today he dropped a nice 9 pointer, needless to say he was pretty excited.

After we moved into the house and did some minor work making it our own and getting settled in I talked to my dad about getting the Z28 moved over here. By this point he had already taken down most of the interior walls of my old booth the car was in so he could make him his man cave hang out. lol So we loaded up the Z and brought it over to the school just down the street to unload it. My sister and uncle were waiting because apparently moving the car is a big deal to my family. lmao who knew. So my sister took some pictures.

Its crazy to see how much better dad looks now compared to back when he helped paint my floor in the old garage.

Finally home! (We are a Chevy house hold LOL)

Right where the Z belongs! Its still filthy dirty and in pieces but majority of its here at this point.

October 1st, 2018 I started a new job at a (forgive me) Ford Dealership working in the paint shop. A friend of mine is the painter and knew I had been looking for a change and it felt like the right move. He has been refreshing my on painting and really motivating me to get back out on my car and get it knocked out.

November 3rd, 2018 we got married and now that all of the commotion of the wedding is over now I am able to switch gears and focus on the task at hand. Finishing my damn car LOL

So now that all that is over with I can get back to the car...

So before I moved the car to the new garage I cut the front and rear windshields out to check for rust. The rear window has some pits but I had already taken care of them back in vocational school. The front window and cowl area I had never seen so I was a little nervous. Thankfully a clean bill of health for the sheet metal and only a couple small specs of surface rust on my VIN tag is all I have to worry about.

Right now I stripped the urethane out of the rear window channel and am going to redo it and get it ready to paint. Then move to the front windshield and get that one taken care of. I pulled the interior and dash out of the car and put it in the attic storage so I didnt have to worry about anything getting damaged. I went ahead and put my streetlites back on the car for a while so I could try to get that vision of the car back to help build my motivation. Its nice to actually be able to see your car from the side and not have to move it outside the garage to do so.

The color combo brings back memories. The girl I took to Prom my Junior year had one that looked exactly like yours, same color and interior, 35cu/350auto, hard top. We couldn't decide if she wanted me to take her in my Trans-Am or if she wanted me to drive her Z/28. LOL!!!!!
