My '73 Twin Turbo LS Project

    Well... Paint was going well, until I scratched it moving stuff in the garage. At this point, I realized how much of a bitch it was to match the color I mixed. Being the car will be more strip than street, I know there will be paint/body damage thrashing on the car in the pits. So, color change to a solid color made sense. Got most of it sprayed and reassembly is in progress.

    Paint on the door looked good.... Other than the bug that landed in the clear. Door was a mess, I probably should have replaced it, but it is a race car so I figured I'd work with what I had.

    They will not miss your car at the track, I actually like this color as much , and it looks fast, sitting, HAA HA

    I ran my new tool cabinet into mine. Dented it on the rear quarter body line and chipped the paint.. Did it right.

    I didn't dent mine, fortunately, but went right through to primer stupidly moving a rear end housing past the car. I was building the rear to make some extra money, and cost myself more than I made, for paint materials. I'm an idiot.

    Once it's all finished, you can laugh about it , still sucks , but will make a good story, HAA HA

    Sooner or later we'll all do something like that, or we've already done it. Materials used to be a non-factor, not anymore. Especially reds.
