What are you guys running for padding on the cage to keep your brain from sloshing around during hard impacts ??

Depends on the ET. I have to use the special, and expensive stuff.
Slow guys can get away with the basic, cheaper stuff from Jegs, Summit.
The pool stuff is too small, and not drilled offset like the actual roll cage stuff.

The pool noodles I cut a slit down the back with a utility knife then slide it on the tube. It will not fit over the tube entirely. I put the padded side tords me and the open side on the other side. I then wrap the pool noodles with black duct tape. It's cheep and works well on the slower stuff. My local track is known for having a tuff tech inspection and I never had any issues.

For $4 I would rather not have a blob of duct tape.
I would rather have the stuff that fits, and then use a little hidden velcro.
Plus we raced at multiple tracks, so I would not risk someone noticing it's a pool toy.
Like I said, the correct stuff is thicker.
