My head is spinning - 383 vs. LS1?????

    383 LS1 is 3.095 bore with 4" stroke. Ask me how I know. The 4" stroke doesnt add alot of HP but it has gobs of torque. Traction is a serious issue! I went this way cause I didnt want the weight of the iron block and the LS2 blocks were too expensive at the time.

    Thats unfortunate....A down fall of the LS1 motor I guess....I had the crazy idea of buying a bare block. good thing I didnt. Thanks!!!

    good news is with efi and such bore wear is usually minimized.
