LOL... my son wants to build a 90's camaro together. He got all excited when he found out about the IROC's, lol.
They pulled the plug because the mullet is no longer in fashion.
There is no more IROC "International Race of Champions", so why would they bring back the IROC Z?
The IROC stopped using Camaros back in 1989, had a brief flirtation with Dodge (1990 - 1993 with the Dodge Daytona and 1994/1995 with the Avenger before the Trans Am took over from 1996 - 2007 when the series folded.
Well there is that Champ, but I’m pretty sure it’s because the lack of popularity of the mullet.
It's kind of fun that I have at least 5 IROC races on VHS, I should watch a few this winter they were cool back in their day.
Yup and the best drivers won too. Could watch that stuff all day long.
Seems like mullets and the silver pony tails are alive and well at the car shows around here. They all gravitate to my car, mumbling something about having a few of them blah blah high school blah blah dirt track blah blah
I had a 1991 Z/28 convertible, red on red, black top 305 TPI/5-Speed. Loved that car and wish I still had it. Parts are tough to find for the 3rd gens though.
the first IROCs were Porsches
