New way to change oil

    One of my wholesale accounts had a car come in for an oil change. The customer told them that when he had the oil changed in California they couldn't get the drain plug out of the oil pan. They drilled a hole beside the original drain plug to drain the oil and put a rubber plug in it to seal it up. Creative thinking is usually a good thing; but, I'm not so sure in this case.

    That is why I have always done my own oil changes.

    They didn't try very hard to remove it.... It's not round! :screwup:

    Probably charged the customer $10 for the rubber plug too. :confused:

    I think putting a hose down the oil dipstick tube into the sump and attached to a vacuum pump would have been easier !!
