Off the wall question.What type freon for a pepsi machine

    I just got an old pepsi machine and it needs freon.any idea what it takes

    I believe there is an industrial type freon you'd have to use that is differant from the 12 and R134A. I could be wrong. One of the guys on here (engine) from Brooklyn is an HVAC engineer. He'd probably know.

    Isn't something like R20 or R22? Does it have anything in it, like a tag, that says what it takes?

    Most of them where R12 .

    yea i havent found a tag.i cant even find the manufactures tag

    There should be a tag plate directly on the compressor.You can get the mod # and call a local refrigeration(hvac)supply house and they can look up the #,s and tell you what type of refrigerant.
