What's the difference between the two? To me they look the same, because I don't follow drag racing to know.

New rules with fuel injection, flat hood, front scoop almost on the ground, and rev chip at 10.5K has most teams chasing their tail, and not liking it. Dodges aren't making the power they did with carburetor and hood scoops and Ford is out completely. NHRA could have taken some lessons from NASCAR in what not to do, no one likes cookie cutters.

    .

Boy have you missed the last 20 plus years :p

P/S is a highly regulated, 500 inch on nuts only class.
You must have the proper part number per model raced.

P/M is N2O, blowers, turbo's, and any year vehicle, any mods type class.
My car was a P/S for 5 years and then it became illegal, so it was converted to P/M with N2O and major body mod's.
P/M is about a second quicker and much faster.

You can't miss the difference anymore, P/S has a flat hood, and most P/M have a scoop or blower sticking out.

Drag Racing in general has become so expensive (in general) vs the return on investment
(potential prize money) very few can afford or want to afford fielding race cars.

Very difficult to attract big $$ sponsors to Pro Stock and any Sportsman Class.

Three owners (Schumacher, Force & Kalitta) dominate Top Fuel & Fuel Funny Car

These are the two Hancock & Lane Race cars I help with....privately funded
(I'm wearing Yellow Jegs Cap). This was winners Circle at Seattle 2016
NHRA Natl event where Cody Lane won Super Stock and Jeff Lane won COMP
    Eliminator

Pro Mod is by far more fun to watch. IMHO Pro Stock will probably be gone within a few years

Pro Stock only has Chevy involved at this point and NHRA keeps making ridiculous rules that are squeezing out the teams. I agree with muscl car, it will be dead in a few years.

Even NHRA Top Sportsman which run 7.0x's are by far more fun to watch than Pro Stock

Anything is far more fun to watch, especially nostalgia drag racing. I would sit there and watch garbage run the track all day before I would ever consider going to a big event.
