So, I got to go out and test some more Carbs but not much else as the track was packed this test day. Here is what happened.
The start of the day I used the 650 Speed Demon and it ran 12.22@107
2nd test was my 850 Might Demon A/D carb and it ran 11.92@110
3rd test was interesting, I decided to just flash the converter instead of loading it like I always do and it paid off. Even hesitating a touch the car ran 11.83@112 with 1.62 60ft.
4th run I changed squirters to 35 and 40 the car ran another 11.83@111.6 buy the 60's were now 1.57
5th run I tried the Predator carb, with not time to play with it the box ran 12.02@110 better mph than I expected but a poorer ET.
6th and final run I put a box stock Mighty Demon 1000 (basically an 850 with down leg boosters. It ran 11.84@111.65 with a 1.59 60 ft.

The 1000 Demon surprised me as I though the thing would fall on it's face with the non A/D boosters.
I did figure out that by the 1/8 mile times I need to put a single plane intake on the car. It ran 7.44 and that equals to a 11.60 time so we figured out that it slow on the top end, which happens sometime with a dual plane intake. Next race I will put in an 8" converter with a new intake to see what happens. All in All a good day with the little tiny ports.

I haven't raced since the mid 90's so components could be better nowadays. However, if I loaded the convertor I wouldn't get near as much stall as I did when I let the car idle and cracked the throttle on the last yellow.

I took a ride in my buddy's 69 camaro with a ht502 crate motor. Just a 502 with peanut ports and a tiny hr cam. He got the engine off craigslist for $2000. He put the zz502 hydraulic roller in it and didn't change anything else other than the zz502 valve springs. I give him a 163 square port intake that we put on it using square port gaskets and an 800 dp.
Freaking thing was an absolute animal. Seriously would pull your face off.
I think it runs mid 11s shifting at like 5200 rpm.

So I can be clear on this, you put the big port intake on the little heads?, Humm, may have to try that. I have done it on 781's but not on a Peanut Port. I did watch my gopro videos today, the car does flash to 4500 so I am not going to change the converter at this point. I think this is plenty, so I might either try that 163 intake swap or use my ported single plane. I do know the 163 intake has a huge plenum as does my sq. port Weiand Team G dual plane but that has the divider cut out.
