Would it make sense for a country handing over all it's weapons because they want peace?

Very strict (and illegal by the constitution!) gun laws in New York, Chicago, Gary, Los Angeles and Detroit. All very pleasant cities with low crime rates..... Ya right

I'm not sure it's a Texas thing, I have some friends/family/neighbors that feel my collection is excessive. But I'm a firm believer in a well armed/regulated militia. I'm not a collector of the look at me guns, or anything in an excessive caliber. I limit everything NATO standard calibers and several combat loads of ammunition, along with a minimum of 16k rounds in each of my "survival" calibers.

    Nice find. Be safe.
I had a beretta pico that was brutal to rack.
Bought it w/out shooting one & sold it w/out shooting that one! Dumb.

fatkid- we put a little over 250 rounds of Ci High Velocity .22lr 40 gr./1250fps
with 2 Fail To Feed. Probably operator error, bad grip.
    Easy to load magazines.
Lisa shooting single right handed @ about 5 yrds

.22s are fun to plink with. I look at the .22 as a filler when out shooting. Cant afford to keep feeding the .45, 9, 7.62 constantly. The .22 keeps you shooting for a little less money. And around here you still cant get .22s at walmart. Jim

This is Lisa, Jeff's wife, the one he bought the gun for. I just want to say, 6 months ago, I was like no way, uhh nuhh, no guns! Now I LOVE shooting them, not enough to go kill someone or do something stupid. But, my husband has taught me how to responsibly use one. He IS a great guy and helping me protect myself if something was to happen when I am home alone.
This gun is AWESOME!!!! And to think, I was complaining it was too small because I liked the 9mm. This one is MINE! ;)

I was born and raised in Canada and have always loved being able to shoot guns. I bought my first, a Ruger MKII .22LR when I was 18 and before I was 20 I had a S&W M429, a Remington Rand M1911A1 and an FN-FAL, complete with grenade launcher sight. Amongst my friends at that time there were an HK-91, a Ruger Mini-14, Lee-Enfield .303, 12 guage shotguns, S&W .357 magnum and others. One of my best friends back home in Canada now has five AR variants in 5.56 and 7.62, an M-14, a Sig Sauer 1911 TACOPS (His is the reason I bought mine here in Texas!), several Berretta pistols and more. There are lots of people in Canada who enjoy owning guns of all sorts.

You might be surprised at how many of your neighbours will have them, they just don't talk about them.
