I know how big it is, I did not forget my old thread and just want to see if there are any others attempting this so we can all help each other through the process. After all, this is a forum, isn't it?

I don't think Ace was trying to be rude there are many discussions and usually a simple search will answer your questions otherwise the forum will get clogged up with repetitive threads.

I understand and did not take it that way. I realize everyone thinks I am stupid for attempting this and they are all entitled to their opinions.

I'm not sure I've seen a 6L80E in a 2nd gen for the reasons I listed in your last thread. Has anyone seen one yet?

I don't think it's stupid, assuming you can get it in there with enough ground clearance. By those pics in the other thread it looks like the stock oil pan is way too low; maybe it's the angle of the pic.

My 4L80E in a 64 Chevelle required a stock flat oil pan to not have the pan well below the frame. Every aftermarket pan was too low. Do they make a much shorter pan for those trannies? The stock one looks like an engine oil pan, it's so deep.

That is what I see and hear too, jody. the builders I asked at sema all had the same fear using that trans in a low vehicle.

Gmango, you might have to be a trailblazer.

I wasn't saying that dude.

I forget about my own threads sometimes. I found it, and posted it for you.
I think if you can make it happen, that would be an awesome accomplishment.
