Thanks! The clear coat isn't quite as nice but I'm quite happy with it for a first attempt at painting a car part. I will get pics of that posted after I get back from offshore.

Finally managed to get back to fixing the wife's daily driver after a 27 day stint offshore. Here is a pic showing the damage and the replacement bumper cover after paint.

Here it is after a somewhat annoying afternoon/evening installing it and with only 7 screws leftover afterwards!! Broken mounting tabs are annoying but the chrome bits seem to be holding in place.

Last thing to do is to reinstall the front license plate mount.

Looks great! Left over screws just means you are more efficient than GM....

Hi Chuck, you may want to take a close look at what I did first before you let me loose on Christine! There are definitely some flaws in it you can't see in the pics.

Unfortunately it's been on hold for the last few years, a victim of the downturn in the oil industry and me getting laid off. I am now working again so hopefully when I get back to Houston towards the end of July/start of August I can start making some progress on her again. I'm just about to head offshore into the South China Sea to install some mooring piles.
