Hi, I just purchased a car at auction (CoPart) from Portland. The car was originally green mist but is now black with white stripes. It’s a 4-speed car too. It has a sticker on the rear bumper that says something... Washington, Springfield-Eugene. Not sure if that’s an old dealer in the area. The car also has the tall spoiler which could have been ordered or it could have originally been a COPO car if it came from the factory which would be cool. It’s an LA build with a 505425 Vin and cross-referencing the registry it shows 02a or a b car. No cowl tag which sucks.

Anyway, appreciate anyone who may know some history of the car.

    Thanks.

I've never seen another Green Mist Z28 other then mine. Has to be one of the rarest combos that year. Do you have any pictures of yours?

I can but it's a gutted, rotten shell. Starting the restoration this winter. Not an RS Z28. LA-built, LA-delivered 4-speed. It will only be cool when done. LOL. Love your car!

Thanks! Its still a work in progress.

Green Mist is a cool color for sure, especially when painted with modern paint. Really pops in the sun and I think it gets a bad rap until people see it in person that is.

Way too early for a COPO 9796 car. They didn't become available till mid-May of 70.

There has been a green mist car showing up at Beaches cruise in at PIR lately. Also a guy in the Columbia river camaro club has one that needs restoration.
