I am getting close to having to re-install the rear end. Currently it's an open unit, but I want to convert to posi and go to 3:73s (it's a 10 bolt). I found a place that has been in business for a long time, but they seem expensive, so I was wondering if anyone can recommend someone that can rebuild the rear end in the San Antonio, TX area?

Pyle Brothers is in Baytown, about 225 miles from San Antonio.

I am about an hour and a half from Baytown, I had Pyle Brothers build one for me once, I have no complaints about them but from San Antonio there may be closer options.

In San Antonio, the "guru" is Thrash differentials, that's the shop that gave me what I thought was a high quote. I was hoping to even find someone on this forum that was close that did this type of work. David, I am sure you are busy, but did you get my last PM about covering the body shell with a tarp?

What was the price that they gave you, and what did that include?

Approx $1,500.00. Basically the combo you recommended a while back. Eaton psi, moser axles, and Yukon gears

I paid about the same for the same scope of work (1 axle only needed replacing) back in 2002ish timeframe so I'd say that is a good price.

That's getting close to brand new Moser 12 bolt territory!
