Don't rush it Dave, some day you'll be that guy behind the wheel. lol
Congrats on the retirement.
Now that I got being tired down pat I just have to find away to speed up not having to work anymore (besides dying, that would not be cool)
My dad retired in 2014. When it’s warm out he is outside at 6am piddling around the garden or garage. Takes a nap mid day, goes back outside till dark.
Winter time he barely leaves the house.
I got them a 70” TV on Black Friday and he has my Netflix login. So he’s set.
unfortunately he was just diagnosed with lung cancer on Wednesday.
I like your dad's version of retirement. I hope I make it to that. Very sorry to hear the diagnosis.
He may have caught it early. He was having lower back pain early fall. Doctor prescribed meds and exercises, finally ended having surgery. He had to get a chest X-ray before surgery and the spots were seen then. Other than that he’s not symptomatic at all.
I’m not religious, but having seconds thoughts on it. Was he given the back issue so the lung cancer could be found?
......slow in the left lane with my turn signal on.
Let's pray early detection and the huge advances in medical technology make him cancer free quickly. I am fairly religious and think you're on to something...
Shizzle, you and your dad have my prayers. God does indeed work in mysterious ways! Fact, not fiction.
