Source for alternator

    i am looking for a date correct alternator for a 72 camaro built in oct 71. Does anyone know a source for this? Thx Bill

    If my book is correct, the original alternator for that car would be a 1102463. Something like this.

    But, I don't have a 1972 GM book to confirm that number. Check before buying one.

    May also want to post at the Supercar Forum yenko.net. This was also used on 1972 Chevelles and most likely Monte Carlos.

    You may want to contact John Pirkle Jr. to see if he has an alternator that you are looking for. I believe John still lives in the Augusta, GA area. I texted him a few minutes ago about you looking for a certain dated number alternator and he said he may have an un-restored one. His cell phone number is: 706-799-7025.
