I'm wanting to run a shorty style plug and considering Accel 0574S. My heads are cast iron World Products, compression ratio 10/1. I'm not sure about heat range but description states 6. Is anyone running these or have other suggestions for a shorty plug? Thanks!

I'm running the Accel shorty header plugs, not sure of the exact part number, but that one looks familiar. I know they're resistor plugs, and are probably not hot enough for my engine, as I have alot of carbon collection on them, but they still do fine. I guess this was a trial and error for me, but I saw them as being a cheaper alternative than paying $160 for plug boot protectors.

There are headers that leave you plug Clarence for the normal full size plugs.
Shorty plugs are used when the header tubes are too close to the plugs.

The shorty plugs are a band-aid for poor quality/engineering of the headers.
