What would be the largest size tires I can put on my 81 Berlinetta that I am turning into a Z28. Thinking of sport 2018 SS setup. Any thoughts?

I think the widest is 9.5 but I know 9 for sure because I just tried a 10 and I really didn’t have room on one side since most of these cars don’t have the rear end centered

What the average size rim do you want to run. The Z-28 of that time period came with a 7" rim , I have run a set of P235/60-15 all away around at time .Then a P245/50-15 ,in back. I have also run a 16 x -8 and 17 x 8 rims , I havw heard other run 18`s. You can mini-tub it and or flair for wider rims as well. Its up to you,

You can't actually make a Z28 from an '81 Berlinetta...
You can put all of the extra flares, stripes, steering wheel etc. to make it LOOK like a Z28 but that VIN will always tell it started its life as a Berlinetta. (Especially if it had a 6 cylinder engine, which is also on the VIN.)

9" wheels with the proper backspace and tires will fit.

depends on if your going to roll the lips, and the front ride height. I have only had 2 camaros all the rest have been TA's which is a BIG difference in fender clearance.

MY standard on my birds has always been 245/60/15 in fornt and 275-295 60/15 in the rear... but thats TA
