    I'm confused. What is wrong w/ the stock torsion spring? That is the only part on my 79 Camaro that has never broken. That and the fuel sending unit.

    There is a special torsion rod for the cars that came from the factory with a spoiler . Also they just get worn out . The gas strut is a little severe fix . The 75 cent PVC fitting is a lot cheaper and less permanent . See post 23 .

    you mean just wedge something under to leave it open???

    That's not even a fix:confused:


    Just use a broken broom stick and save the 75 cents..

    Yeah he has something against this fix. Has from day one. It works and looks good. To each there own I say. Works better than factory and no knocks on the head from the trunk lid falling down.

    I got a cheaper install, AND IT RETAINS IT FACTORY COLORS AND LOOK!!!


    Take your broken front valence, and VIOLA!!!!!!!!!
