I’ve got a KRC type ii pump on mine and I’m surprised more people don’t ditch the Saginaw type I style, especially those with big blocks - the factory type I bbc brackets suck! and I’m not aware of a better aftermarket option for 2nd gens.

I use nothing but Jones Racing Products for the PS setups. Type II, all aluminum 18oz baffled reservoirs with AN fittings, no more issues with heat/fracture damage costing a race,V-belts with long water pumps, many choice of pulley sizes to set your ratio, and they fit like a glove. You get what you pay for, worth every dime.

The nice part is the SBC bracket to the upper head bolt is slotted to allow large flat/angle milling of the head, like 0 to .140+, no die grinding. pic 4.png

    Slick looking unit there.
I see you have the Borgeson shaft and damper. Does it work as well as a rag joint to isolate vibration? I have one but have not driven the car with it yet.

Yes, I love it. That being said, I've done a bunch of things that stiffen the car up, and with them all combined, there is definitely more “road noise” then a stock set-up. The shaft didn't add as much “road feel” as the g-braces or upper a-arms with derlin bushings. I feel every pebble now, which is to be expected.
