The car had 56000 original miles on it when I got it and I am 3rd owner. The owner before me bought it from the lady that was the original owner and he only owned it a few months. He sold it so he could start college and didn’t have time or money for it. I believe all of this assembly to be original.

    Thanks...

Like I said, it's never come up on any of the old (and numerous) bumper jack threads. To be honest, it looks a lot like one of the under hood bumpers to me

Those fit over the head of a screw head, this has a little tit that snaps in a hole in the mast. I have never had a reason to take it out. Afraid if i took it off it would tear.

I wonder what Dave Liukkonen (DCL70) would say? I thinks he's looked at more of these than any 4 of us put together!

It is. I have bought from him before. Nice guy. The caps and the jack cover are very nice pieces.
I'm putting my trunk back together so I needed a cover. Just bought the jack cover and cap combo. Didn't need the caps but i have discovered that I have a fetish for trim rings and caps. Can never have too many:bowtie:.

Received jack cover from https://www.ebay.com/itm/1970-to-73...113891?hash=item23a0c4e623:g:9yAAAOSwSUJa-MIS. Looks great and fits great. Has GM part number 3984010 imprinted on under side of cover. Tab looked fine and fit correctly in the jack body mount. Would recommend getting one from this guy if finishing your trunk is worth 50 bucks and free shipping.

Glad it worked out well. thanks for the feedback.

Still undecided if I will buy one and sell my other one I bought for 96 from another auction. It has some minor marks, but they would all be under the tire. Got to draw the line somewhere.

I received my cover too. I'm happy with it. I also received the center caps. To me, they look closer to original than the other repo caps on the market and the tabs are of a higher quality spring steel. The tabs snap right on and do not bend. I included some pics to compare it to a couple of other repo designs that I have.
